"Black Sand Beach" did its job of immediately hooking me on the atmospheric sound of Kioea. After several listens through the EP I seem to like the space rhythm and echoes in "Brushfire" most of all. Looking forward to great things from Kioea.

Although I normally like to play music in mixes of 3-5 artists at a time, the "long track" on this album actually works better than all the songs played separately and mixed with other music. Some great psychedelic and surf guitar work on here. If you like this, try Golden Dawn Arkestra and Ouzo Bazooka.
